"I really felt Pauline heard my voice in the writing and encouraged me to tell my own unique story.
Her support and advice has been an inspiration."

My screenplay coverage service is for writers who want a caring, on-the-pulse experienced professional to help them with tailor-made, really practical guidance to turn their scripts into screenplays of solid market potential.

Why NOW is The Best Time
To Get Your Script Ready
To Market

Know what everybody in the movie industry is talking about right now? The huge market for independent films.

When I was at the Berlin Festival last month, one of the world's leading film festivals and a major meeting for the international film circuit, the hot topic among the 20,000 professionals from over 130 countries was how there's an increasing global demand for films made by the independent sector.

All the world's major distributors were saying that they'll be looking more and more at acquiring indies because the Hollywood studio system is now crumbling.

This means an unprecedented opportunity for screenwriters of bold, imaginative work who don't want to write Hollywood tent-pole scripts.

There has never been a better time for emerging screenwriters to get their scripts out there.

Distributors desperately need films and that means indie film companies need more great scripts!

What they won't be looking for is formulaic, cookie-cutter scripts. Make sure you're screenplay is the kind they're desperately searching for - one that's inventive and powerful, with a solid emotional core.

If you want some intensive guidance to raise your script to the level of excellence producers are crying out for, take a look at how Unique Screenplay coverage might help.

Things like:

Emotional Pull - The one thing your script must have - Categoricallynot the Sentimental Kind

Subtext - Which Needs to be Everywhere, not just in the dialogue

What Makes For A Powerful Compelling Character

Irony - An Absolute Pre-Requisite For An Outstanding Screenplay

Interesting Narrative Structure - Experimenting Till It's Right For Your Story

Visual Grammar - Making Meaning with Visuals

Sensual - Why you need to touch, smell, feel, see, and taste the script

Coping with the Nightmare of Exposition

Dialogue - However Much or How Little The Story Needs

The Power of Silence

Inhabiting Your Character Just as The Actor Will

Why Bother?

Why bother with a screenplay coverage report? If you've got as far as you can on your own, are stuck, or feeling so bad you just want to give up, then it could be you'll benefit from supportive, professional advice.

Of the thousands and thousands of scripts that are submitted to agents and producers every year over 9o% get turned down.

There's little point in sending out your screenplay unless it's as brilliant as you can make it.

And that means that feedback from friends and family, however well-intentioned, is just not going to help that happen. If they say something doesn't work, they may be right, but they're rarely going to be able to show you how to fix it.

Chances are it isn't the story that's the problem, it's having difficulty with finding your voice, discovering what your unique vision is.

That's what interests me as a script consultant. Coaxing out the latent creative vision of the screenwriter and offering ways to transform a script into an outstanding one.

I Don't 'Farm Out' Scripts

I do not 'farm out' scripts to less experienced readers which quite a few script services do without being clear that they operate such a practice.
